BRUSSELS, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- A 12-member jury responsible for judging the trial of two Frenchmen accused of shooting dead four people at a Jewish museum in Brussels in 2014 has been selected on Monday in front of the assize court of Brussels.

The full trial will open on Thursday, and will last several weeks.

Both Mehdi Nemmouche, 33, and Nacer Bendrer -- a fellow Frenchman aged 30 who allegedly supplied the weapons a few weeks before the attack, claim they are innocent.

Two Israeli tourists, a French volunteer and a Belgian receptionist were killed in the attack at the Jewish Museum of Belgium in Brussels on May 24, 2014.

According to the French newspaper Le Monde, the two men will likely face a maximum criminal sentence of life imprisonment.
